3D Cloud by Marxent deploys 3D visualization, setup, and room planning with Kingfisher

3D Cloud by Marxent
The international home improvement firm Kingfisher plc and 3D Cloud by Marxent are collaborating to introduce cutting-edge 3D visualization, planning, and design technology across a number of its brands. Along with a number of mobile 3D product configurators, the program features a 3D kitchen, bathroom, and storage planner with virtual reality capabilities.

A superior hybrid planning experience that easily transitions between in-store colleague-led design systems and e-commerce is provided by the brand-new 3D planning and design tool for kitchens, bathrooms, and storage. The 3D room planning technology has already been made available in the UK, Republic of Ireland, and Romania via Kingfisher's B&Q and Brico Depot. Additionally, B&Q UK has released a selection of simple, mobile-first 3D product configurators for fireplaces, as well as the exclusive Atomia and Alara product lines from Kingfisher.

Customers may browse, design, visualize, and pay for their purchases within the same app using the Kingfisher 3D planning and design capabilities. Even amateurs can draw a customized room layout, drag and drop products right into the area, and customize finishes because it is simple enough for consumers to use while still being complex enough for seasoned kitchen designers. For skilled designers, more advanced design features are offered.

As a result, any kitchen, bathroom, or storage project may be seen realistically in both 2D and 3D. In addition, designs can be produced as HD renders or 360-degree panoramas, and for those who like to shop online from home, things can be added right to their shopping cart from the finished 3D scene.

It's simple to schedule a planning meeting in-store, share dimensions, a budget and design preferences with design services professionals, and work together on the project's final details. Projects created in 3D room planning software can also be exported as 360-degree panoramas for virtual reality immersion.

"At Kingfisher, we're focused on offering the best experience for our customers, offering greater convenience, choice and speed as part of our Powered by Kingfisher strategy. We chose 3D Cloud by Marxent because they have the tech, team, and experience to implement 3D experiences at an enterprise scale. The 3D room planner tool in stores combines leading-edge visualization and configuration technology and provides customers with a seamless and personalized shopping experience. Partnering with Marxent has enabled us to focus on our mobile-first approach, with tools to allow our customers to design from pictures and room scanning. 3D technology is just one of the initiatives we have launched to ensure Kingfisher is at the forefront of innovation in retail,"
