Alibaba Cloud launches second data center in Indonesia

Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, today launched a second data center in Indonesia to double its local capacity. The company also announced the Internet Champion Global Accelerator Program, contributing to Indonesia’s 2020 Go Digital Vision.Driven by strong customer demand, the opening of the second data center came only ten months after the first. According to Alibaba, the two centers will provide high availability and strengthen disaster recovery capabilities, allowing customers to deploy mission-critical workloads in multiple availability zones and switch over within seconds. Alibaba Cloud now has 55 availability zones across 19 regions worldwide. In addition to Indonesia, Alibaba Cloud also has data centers in Singapore and Malaysia.
