On January 13, Godspeed Capital Management LP, a lower middle-market private equity firm focusing on Defense and Government services, solutions, and technology, announced the successful purchase of Exceptional Software Strategies, Inc., a prominent provider of information technology solutions to mission-critical federal agencies, including members of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense agencies. The transaction's financial specifics were not disclosed.
For over 25 years, ESS has had a successful track record of integrating mission-critical information technology solutions across the Intelligence Community. The company specializes in cyber, software and systems engineering, and geographic information systems, and collaborates with a diverse range of intelligence community and federal organizations charged with key national security operations, including a significant presence at Fort Meade, Maryland. Almost every experienced engineer on the company's dynamic team possesses the highest degree of security clearance. By inventing, testing, and implementing solutions to mitigate and defeat threats in crucial emerging areas like blockchain, cloud computing and storage, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, ESS is positioned to lead the next frontier of cyber-protection and innovation.
The newly acquired ESS will be integrated into Godspeed Capital's recently formed high-end cyber and technology solutions platform holding company, which is focused on providing the United States Defense and Intelligence Community with a comprehensive suite of solutions to combat an ever-increasing and evolving level of cyber security and intelligence threats.
