Google acquires cloud training startup Qwiklabs, services will remain available

Google today said it has acquired Qwiklabs, a startup that developed commercially available training courses that people could use to become familiar with public cloud infrastructure services. For now, the startup will keep offering credits and selling subscriptions, but clearly Google will be using Qwiklabs to more directly support the Google Cloud.“We want to help businesses get the most out of their cloud investment and, with Qwiklabs, we’ll give users a place to learn and expand their cloud skills to deliver more innovation, more features, and more efficiency for their customers,” Jason Martin, director of professional services at the Google Cloud, wrote in a blog post.
