Study finds datacentres ill-equipped for cloud and virtualisation

Despite growth in the popularity of the cloud and virtualisation many organisations still depend on antiquated datacentre infrastructure for their IT services, according to a global study commissioned by networking specialist Brocade.Brocade surveyed “IT decision makers” in the UK, France, Germany and North America.The study highlighted that while three quarters of enterprises have updated their IT environments in the past three years, 91 per cent of IT decision makers believe their current IT infrastructure still requires substantial upgrades to meet the unique requirements of cloud services and virtualisation.
