Cloud computing is just ‘out there’ in magical datacenter land right? We connect to the cloud and the great engine room in the sky is all-powerful, ubiquitous and infinitively extensible, right? Answer: sort of yes, but no. Ubiquitous cloud is almost true, until we need to meet local country governance and compliance regulations. Power for infinitive extensibility is almost true too (we’re building more datacenters every week), but there’s no point in all that power unless you know what to do with it.
