Ambassador Labs, the leader in cloud-native developer experience, announced several technological partnerships and tools to help teams and companies around the world embrace Kubernetes faster. Ambassador Labs has joined the steering committee of the new Envoy Gateway project, which will enhance Envoy's capabilities to include basic API gateway "out of the box" capabilities for cloud-native development and delivery.

Ambassador Labs, as a launch partner for Docker's Extension marketplace, now offers an integrated experience for Docker Desktop and Telepresence, allowing for faster local-to-remote feedback loops and increased developer productivity in Kubernetes setups. Finally, Ambassador Cloud's latest Team Edition release is based on the open-source Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) projects Emissary-ingress, Telepresence, and Argo, adding new capabilities and pricing tailored to distributed cloud-native development teams. The latest Ambassador Cloud, free to get started, scales to accommodate projects and organizations of all sizes, from development to production.

"We long ago saw the promise of Envoy as a production-tested proxy that supports a cloud native world, having built Emissary-ingress, a CNCF Incubating project, on Envoy. We couldn't be more excited to be part of the new Envoy Gateway project to simplify Envoy usage and accelerate cloud native app development by teams around the world,"

Richard LI, co-founder and CEO at Ambassador Labs.

The new Ambassador Cloud Team Edition contains pricing and features that make it easier for development teams to accelerate Kubernetes adoption while coding, testing, shipping, and running cloud-native applications. Additional teams and projects can be added quickly and are free to start, making it simple for extended teams to collaborate on Kubernetes projects from development to production.

Ambassador Labs also announced a new developer education program to assist teams in implementing Kubernetes using tried-and-true architectural patterns and open source tools. This free session, entitled 'The Golden Path Pizza Party,' is available to enterprises worldwide and is designed to solve specific technical difficulties that cloud-native teams encounter as they chart their "Golden Path."

LevelField Financial selects METACO for IBM Cloud DAM

METACO | May 27, 2022

METACO, the market-leading provider of digital asset custody orchestration technology to complex, global financial institutions, has been selected by LevelField Financial, the leading U.S. financial services organization integrating digital assets with traditional banking services in one trusted platform. LevelField is putting its institutional digital asset management operations on IBM Cloud to take advantage of IBM's digital asset infrastructure's confidential computing capabilities. Harmonize, which is supported by IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Services1, will be deployed by LevelField. This arrangement will allow LevelField to scale to millions of wallets while preserving risk management control over private keys. When leveraging METACO's Harmonize platform, IBM's Digital Asset Infrastructure is meant to assist custodians in achieving better results, including increased scalability, security, and compliance. IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Crypto Services is designed to allow METACO Vaults to store encrypted keys in a database externally while maintaining the security of IBM's FIPS 140-2 Level 4 accredited hardware security modules (HSM). Custodians may scale to billions of wallets using IBM's master encryption key technology, which allows them to store keys externally. IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Virtual Servers hardware-based, Common Criteria-certified isolation protects critical processing on METACO Harmonize. By trying to make policies on the platform tamper-proof, IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Secure Build Server reduces the danger of malicious code infiltration during Harmonize installations and addresses unauthorized rule manipulation. Regardless of how Harmonize is used, custodians retain physical ownership of the assets' root of trust and the policies that govern asset management using IBM HSM Smartcards. "We're pleased to support LevelField in realizing its vision of uniting digital assets with traditional finance to create the most trusted banking platform of the future. Harmonize provides bank-grade security and compliance for the custody and management of digital assets, as well as the agility for innovative firms like LevelField to go-to-market and scale quickly. With a flexible governance policy framework that can be applied to any type of digital asset transaction, a no-single-point-of-failure model, and the optionality to expand and offer any type of digital asset services, Harmonize provides a highly secure and flexible foundation for LevelField to manage its digital asset operations, both today and well into the future," Seamus Donoghue, VP of Strategic Alliances at METACO. METACO has large implementations with Tier 1 banks, exchanges, and other financial institutions, making it the dominant technology provider in the digital asset ecosystem. Harmonize, the company's platform, provides the industry's most secure, compliant, and adaptable custody solution, as well as end-to-end, secure orchestration of workflows and governance procedures across the whole digital asset stack, with no single point of compromise.

Infoblox Launches NIOS 8.6.2 to Help Businesses Transform Their Workplaces

Infoblox | June 15, 2022

Network Identity Operating System (NIOS) 8.6.2 has been released by Infoblox Inc., the leader in cloud-first DNS administration and security. This version increases visibility, user experience, and control for DNS/DHCP/IP address management (DDI) infrastructure across hybrid, multi-cloud settings, allowing for further workplace modernization. By enabling unified multi-cloud integration and automation, stronger DDI, value-added services, templated APIs, plugins for operational ease, and enhanced ROI, NIOS 8.6.2 expands Infoblox's renowned DDI market leadership. With this, customers benefit from: Multi-cloud integrations: DHCP for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and NIOS v40x5 appliance support in AWS, Azure, and GCP optimize the hybrid workplace. Configuring DHCP services on vNIOS instances in GCP makes cloud migration easier and ensures that DHCP is served consistently to on-premise customers. DDI core enhancements: Multi-primary DNS failover for Dynamic DNS (DDNS) updates and TLS dynamic control for SAML Port 8765 strengthen control. By allowing DHCP servers to deliver updates to alternate servers automatically, DDNS failover improves the user experience for multi-primary zones. Value-added services: Add Reporting and Analytics virtual appliances in AWS and Azure to improve DDI visibility and simplify cloud migration and transport data identified by Network Insight or NetMRI through Infoblox's Cloud Services Portal (CSP) for visibility on the BloxOne platform. With DNS Traffic Control's (DTC) Health Monitor manual failback, 8.6.2 improves user control over problematic sites. DDI plugins: Integrations with Ansible 1.2.1, Terraform 2.1, Kubernetes ExternalDNS, Nutanix 5.20.x, RedHat OpenStack IPAM, and Cisco ISE 3.x identity management improve visibility, automation, and control. "We continue to deliver new cloud-first DDI capabilities to help customers build reliable connectivity into their hybrid workplace. This new set of features help customers future-proof their growing networks and further demonstrates our market leadership," Dave Signori, VP of Product Management at Infoblox San Marino Unified School District chose NIOS to upgrade its core networking infrastructure with fully automated DDI and "rock-solid" online service connectivity.
