Megaport Limited, one of the leading global Network as a Service (NaaS) providers, recently announced that the company achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Outposts Ready Partner Designation as a part of the AWS Service Ready Program. As a result, customers of AWS can now securely connect Outposts racks with AWS Direct Connect service locations using Megaport's global private Software Defined Network, allowing more trustworthy and high-performing application migrations and operations to Outposts.

The AWS Service Ready Program offers customers AWS Partner software solutions that are approved through a technical validation for sound architecture and have been customer success. In addition, AWS Outposts Ready Partners provides products that work with Outposts deployments, are tested by Outposts, and follow architecture best practices and AWS security. AWS Partner Solutions Architects have validated and tested Megaport's solutions through this program, making them a strong recommendation.

Customers of Megaport and Outposts will enjoy the following benefits: More data centre choices with fewer restrictions, Service ready designation where the solution has been tested, validated, and proven by AWS, and network resilience that allows a redundant architecture for the critical AWS Region connectivity. In addition, the customers can use their own network equipment, like routers and switches, within the data centres where the Outposts racks are deployed or can use a virtual routing service, Megaport Cloud Router (MCR), for dynamic BGP routing to AWS Direct Connect.

Vincent English, Chief Executive Officer of Megaport, said, "We're thrilled to be named an AWS Outposts Ready Partner." He added, "Many of our customers run applications that have low-latency requirements and must run on-premises and using Megaport to privately connect Outposts racks to AWS Direct Connect service locations ensures that these applications run reliably and are highly performant.

HYCU® Launches R-Cloud™ Data Protection Development Platform for SaaS

HYCU, Inc. | February 07, 2023

HYCU has recently launched R-Cloud™, a software development and data protection platform, providing Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Software as a Service (SaaS) companies with in-days, recovery, and backup services in their respective platforms. R-Cloud is a low-code, purpose-built data protection development platform that assists SaaS vendors in delivering backup and recovery services. Unfortunately, in more than 17,000 SaaS applications, only some have these features, making business-critical applications for IT departments more complicated to manage, protect, and overview. The constant development and patent-pending innovations of software resulted in the R-Cloud platform, engaging customers and SaaS solution providers with the visual data output, secured data identification, protection, and recovery from human error or malicious cyberattack. In addition, it empowers SaaS companies with HYCU's data protection, identity and access management, policy management, analytics, and orchestration. HYCU's Founder and CEO, Simon Taylor, said, "If the number of vendors in one of the industry's leading market reports have only protected seven SaaS applications to date, the current approach to backup and recover SaaS has no future." He added, "The entire approach is broken. New SaaS offerings are being built. New approaches to protect them are a must. That is why we have rethought the way data protection is done and found a way to provide ISVs and SaaS vendors the ability to add data protection with ease. Granular backup and recovery for SaaS is now available in as little as four days, when it would have taken at least four quarters before to develop." (Source – Globe Newswire) About HYCU HYCU, a multi-cloud SaaS data protection service provider, offers SaaS-based data backup and recovery to on-premises software, cloud-native, and SaaS environments with data protection, disaster recovery, migration, and ransomware protection worldwide. With a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 91, its customers experience data security wherever they go. Its R-Cloud platform will support SaaS-based applications, databases, and services like Okta and Microsoft 365, Atlassian Jira Service Management, Atlassian Jira Software, Atlassian Confluence, Salesforce, Google BigQuery, Google Workspace, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud SQL, and Amazon RDS.
