Almost 75% of Maltese 16-24 year olds using cloud computing – NSO

Almost three quarters (75%) of Maltese using cloud computing services during 2018, were between the ages of 16-24, new figures show.According to the National Statistics Office, 16-24 year-olds accounted for 71.8% of cloud computing users. This represented a 4% increase on 2017. Equally, the 25-34 bracket accounted for 60.7% of users surveyed, a 7.1% increase on 2017. NSO was also only able to report a 19.1 percentage of 55-64 year olds using the services too. NSO also states that in terms of internet use behaviours on a daily and weekly basis, 16-24 year olds come out on top.  The vast majority of 16-24 year-olds use the internet every day, with their percentage sitting just under 100% of those surveyed. Across the old brackets, 25-34 year olds are the closest at above 90%. Conversely, 61% of 65-74 year old do not use the internet.
