After experiencing a rapidly growing 2018, the cloud computing market is expected to slow down in 2019 for some correction before fast growth resumes in 2020, according to Wiwynn president Emily Hong.Demand for cloud computing servers will turn weak in the first half of 2019, but will begin picking up momentum in the second half, paving the way for another year of rapid growth in 2020, said Hong.Wiwynn is currently supplying servers to two US-based major cloud computing service providers and has been aggressively seeking orders from a third player, which the company may start shipping to in the second half, Hong said. In addition to these major players, Wiwynn reportedly also recently entered Linkedln's supply chain.Wiwynn reported consolidated revenues of NT$181.07 billion (US$5.83 billion) for 2018, growing 111.3% on year with gross margin for the first three quarters of 2018 reaching 6%, up 1pp from the same period a year ago.
