Accenture beefs up government cloud, analytics practice with Agilex purchase

Accenture announced plans to acquire Agilex, a provider of digital services to the US government and other heavily regulated sectors. The company said the acquisition will bolster Accenture’s expertise in managing cloud, mobile and big data deployments in the public sector.Agilex looks after the IT systems of a number of US federal government departments and agencies including Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security and Commerce, and has particular expertise around mobile and analytics platforms.
