Applications Software Technology (AST) has announced the acquisition of Computer Technology Resources (CTR) to expand its service offerings in the Oracle and adjacent cloud ecosystems. This acquisition brings AST's extensive cloud and managed services experience to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) market, allowing it to offer customers more complete end-to-end solutions across Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google.
The acquisition will strengthen AST's vertical expertise across multiple commercial industries, including manufacturing and healthcare, and expand its capabilities across the Oracle Cloud Application and Platform ecosystems, including supply chain, analytics, and NetSuite. The fact that AST bought CTR is a big deal for the Oracle and cloud ecosystems because it means customers can use end-to-end solutions from a trusted partner.
