Atos acquires Bull for $844m in cloud, cybersecurity and big data play

Software, consulting and hosting firm Atos announced this week that it has entered into an agreement to acquire French-owned IT service provider Bull Group. Atos said the acquisition will help bolster its capabilities around cloud services, cybersecurity and big data.Bull, which offers datacentre services, cybersecurity services and cloud hosting with particular expertise in high performance computing, operates in over 50 countries and has combined annual revenues €1.3bn. Atos has offered $844m for the company.
