Data Theorem Cloud Secure Named 2021 New Product of the Year by Security Today Magazine

DATA THEOREM, INC | August 23, 2021

Data Theorem, Inc., a leading provider of modern application security, announced that its Cloud Secure cloud-native application security (AppSec) product has been named a 2021 New Product of the Year by Security Today magazine. Security Today, the leading industry media brand providing technology, education and solutions for security professionals, and www.securitytoday.com, the preeminent editorial website for the security industry, recognized Data Theorem’s Cloud Secure in the Cloud Solutions and Services awards category.

The Security Today New Product of the Year Award honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. In the 13th successful year of this independently juried contest, winners were honored in 43 product award categories.

“What a crazy year this has been for everyone,” said Ralph C. Jensen, editor in chief of Security Today magazine. “Challenging or not, I have noticed that product development and new security solutions were in no way quarantined. It seems all manufacturers have been busy and have stayed on track to release new products. I believe we are on the threshold of security engineers bringing to bear more sophisticated solutions. What a great year this will be.”

Cloud Secure is the industry’s first solution delivering attack surface management security for cloud-native applications that starts at the client layer (mobile and web), protects the network layer (REST and GraphQL APIs), and extends down through the underlying infrastructure (cloud services). Its combination of attack surface management and defensive protections enables both offensive and defensive security capabilities to best prevent data breaches of cloud-native applications and serverless cloud functions.

“It is gratifying to receive yet another award for Data Theorem, this time for Cloud Secure being named a 2021 New Product of the Year for our unique design to help customers secure their modern cloud applications,” said Doug Dooley, Data Theorem COO. “Since the public launch in March, Cloud Secure’s Hacker Toolkits have uncovered new attack vectors in cloud-native applications and APIs helping to prevent data breaches for our customers. Organizations turn to Data Theorem to protect their cloud applications in multi-cloud environments due to the benefits of our dynamic and run-time analysis with offensive attack surface management and defensive protection toolkits. This enables organizations to conduct continuous, automated security inspection and remediation of their most important cloud-native applications.”

Cloud Secure, Data Theorem’s latest product powered by its award-winning Analyzer Engine, helps organizations secure their cloud-native applications and address regulatory compliance for cloud monitoring and reporting. Data Theorem is one of the first vendors to provide a full stack application security analyzer that connects attack surfaces of applications starting at the client layers found in mobile and web, the network layers found in APIs, and the infrastructure layers found in cloud services.

Data Theorem’s broad AppSec portfolio protects organizations from data breaches with application security testing and protection for modern web frameworks, API-driven microservices and cloud resources. Its solutions are powered by its award-winning Analyzer Engine, which leverages a new type of dynamic and run-time analysis that is fully integrated into the CI/CD process, and enables organizations to conduct continuous, automated security inspection and remediation.

Data Theorem and the rest of the winners will receive awards for their recognized products. They will also be featured on the security industry leading website, www.securitytoday.com, and will be highlighted in the November/December 2021 issue of Security Today magazine. Print and digital editions of the magazine are distributed to an audience of more than 40,000 subscribers seven times a year, and the website is visited by thousands of security professionals every week.

Apiiro Launches Partner Program to Help Customers Fix Cloud-Native Application Risks Faster

Apiiro | June 09, 2022

Apiiro, the leader in Cloud-Native Application Security, today announced the Apiiro Partner Program, which provides comprehensive support for technology, consulting, and reseller partners across the Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) ecosystem. In the era of cloud-native application development, the remediation lifecycle is getting longer and more complex because risks are distributed across the design, code, open source packages, infra-as-code, containers, Git and CI/CD servers, and cloud infrastructure. In addition, the shift in responsibilities and the use of a multitude of tools, each addressing only a small subset of cloud-native application risks has reduced the overall efficacy with noisy alerts and false-positives due to the lack of context. Context from cloud infrastructure to code and Software Bill Of Materials visibility (SBOM) are instrumental for the remediation process across the software supply chain. Partners like Alacrinet, Defy Security, Google Cloud, HashiCorp, NetSPI, NXGN, Parabellyx, and Trace3 from the cloud-native application security, DevOps, cloud infrastructure security, and other cybersecurity industries are joining the Apiiro Partner Program to work together to help customers remediate cloud-native application risks across the software supply chain. Partners will benefit from the Apiiro Risk Graph technology and enabling resources to speed customer adoption and success with a contextual shift left risk remediation technology. "Our customers aren't just modernizing their cloud-native application security - they're reinventing the way they develop, build, and deploy cloud-native applications across the software supply chain. By uniting in the Apiiro Partner Program, Apiiro and our partners can collectively ensure cloud-native applications are developed and delivered in a secure manner," John Leon, VP of Business Development at Apiiro Program benefits include training materials and sales resources, access to technical evaluation demos and documentation to enable go to market and joint promotion opportunities. By enrolling in the Apiiro Partner Program, partners can increase their value to customers by delivering contextual shift left risk remediation before releasing to the cloud. Apiiro has quickly gained momentum and recognition in the cloud-native application security market: The current winner of the prestigious RSA Sandbox Innovation Award Named a Gartner 2021 Cool Vendor in DevSecOps Detected Day 0 Supply Chain Security vulnerability found on Kuberenetes based Argo CD platform Contributor to the NIST 800-218 Secure SW Development Framework published February 2022 Apiiro is a new partner in the Google Cloud Marketplace.
