eCloudvalley
eCloudvalley Digital Technology (ECV), AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, has assisted more than 450 Hong Kong enterprises in digital transformation since 2016. eCloudvalley participated in the 9th CIO Innovation Forum to share cloud consulting experience in helping customers integrate cloud services seamlessly.

This year's CIO Innovation Forum focused on how CIOs integrate internal and external resources to lead digital transformation in the context of information security. Going cloud represents a significant step forward in digital transformation. However, the increasingly complex IT environment burdens the Internal IT team. Many attendees expressed that lacking internal cloud professionals is a big headache. As a result, many enterprises have begun cooperating with the new generation of managed service providers (MSPs). With their expertise in the cloud, MSPs can provide customers with consulting services and a seamless cloud experience. Moreover, MSPs can further offer data analytics services to empower enterprises to unleash the potential of the cloud.

"eCloudvalley serves customers from financial insurance, transportation, and communications industries. The cloud environment is complex. To unleash the potential of the cloud, enterprises can rely on MSP for consulting services and advice on information security and cloud optimization. Take eCloudvalley as an example. Based on our abundant experience, we can provide customers with comprehensive cloud services, such as data analysis, information security, and DevOps. In addition, we lighten the IT maintenance burden for our customers, and thus enterprises can concentrate on their own business and create new business models."

Joe Kwok, Country Manager, Hong Kong at eCloudvalley Digital

Since 2016, eCloudvalley has audited AWS MSP on an annual basis. In April 2022, it was named AWS Services Partner of the Year in Hong Kong. Furthermore, Gartner named eCloudvalley to its 2022 Market Guide for Public Cloud Managed and Professional Services Providers (Asia/Pacific), and ChannelE2E named eCloudvalley to its Top 100 Vertical Market MSPs for 2022, ranking it sixth globally and first in Asia.

Votiro Cloud Integrates With Box Content Cloud to Provide Zero Trust Content Security

Votiro | October 20, 2022

Votiro, the category leader in Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) technology, today announced its integration with Box’s leading Content Cloud to prevent ransomware and other evasive file-borne threats from entering users’ content collaboration applications and environments. Available today, users can seamlessly connect Votiro Cloud to Box to provide an essential layer of security needed to prevent new and unknown threats by sanitizing content before adding it in Box. Digital content collaboration capabilities have been paramount in the new hybrid work environment, where bad actors are targeting content and data management platforms, primarily through hidden threats in files. Many of these threats leverage advanced obfuscation techniques that can easily evade detection through traditional security technologies. Through this integration with Box, Votiro Cloud can easily be downloaded and deployed within the customers’ environment, and begin immediately eliminating all malware threats. Preventing Threats without Ruining Files Instead of scanning for known malware signatures, Votiro Cloud proactively disarms weaponized files before they enter the network and prevents virtually all attacks, ranging from evasive commodity attacks to zero-day attacks, including ransomware. In addition, Votiro’s solution prioritizes secure collaboration, increasing productivity without compromising security. All incoming files to Box Content Cloud from remote employees, contractors, and 3rd party partners are sanitized and reconstructed to preserve the integrity and functionality of the original file, allowing users to collaborate securely. "Organizations today need products that are inherently secure to support employees working from anywhere, At Box, we continuously strive to improve our integrations with third-party apps so that it's easier than ever for customers to use Box alongside best-in-class solutions. With today's integration with Votiro, we are providing customers with even more options for additional security controls to further minimize the risk of potential incidents.” Fred Klein, Vice President of Business and Corporate Development at Box Votiro applies Zero Trust principles to a customer’s interactions with digital files, automated file processing, or application-to-application file transfer process. Votiro’s scalability, speed, and depth and breadth of accepted file formats best positions them to help enterprises collaborate with third-parties safely while keeping business flowing. Files are processed at scale for high volume operations and within milliseconds, completely transparent to the end user. The company’s cloud-based, open application programming interface (API), and auto-scaling functionality allows for limitless scalability to seamlessly accommodate surges in file throughput. Votiro Cloud is easy to use and the open API fits into existing file flows seamlessly, including to and from content-rich applications and services like customer-facing portals deployed in public cloud platforms, machine-to-machine transfer to cloud content platforms such as AWS S3, Snowflake, and Box. “Enterprises no longer have to implicitly trust the users interacting with files in the cloud content platforms, but explicitly ensure safe content at all times. As a result, building out a data protection strategy and investing in technologies that adhere to the Zero Trust model is a great way to ensure secure content collaboration,” said Ravi Srinivasan, CEO at Votiro. “Digital collaboration services, like Box, create amazing efficiencies for businesses and - with the right safeguards - also provide a high level of security. We’re proud to integrate with Box to offer an essential layer of security to protect the content and data that organizations’ exchange on a daily basis without inhibiting user productivity.” About Votiro Votiro is a zero-trust content security company serving hundreds of commercial and government organizations worldwide. Cloudinary Community Program Creates Centralized Hub for User Conversations

Cloudinary | November 22, 2022

Cloudinary, the Media Experience Cloud that powers digital experiences for many of the world’s top brands, today launched its Cloudinary Community, a centralized hub for developers to engage with one another to help build powerful visual experiences. With more features rolling out in 2023, this initial community launch includes two new community sites, a Community Forum and a Community Discord, to bridge the gap between documentation and customer support. The program creates a reliable resource for anyone looking to get the most out of Cloudinary’s technology and share their experiences with fellow users. With more than one million developers using Cloudinary, the Community program will facilitate developer engagement and enable anyone to seek advice and share their knowledge on how to best use the platform for any use case. Cloudinary experts will be available to facilitate conversations and answer user questions, and developers will have the opportunity to support each other by sharing insights on how to best manage and optimize their visual media experience with Cloudinary. “With the launch of Cloudinary Community, we can bring more users together in their preferred place, whether that’s a forum, a chat server or a little of both, to share their collective knowledge that enables everyone to build engaging experiences that power the visual economy, As Cloudinary continues to grow, we’ve identified a need to scale the wide range of support we currently offer. The introduction of the Cloudinary Community program will augment our existing resources and enable developers and other users to reduce the time required to bring media-rich applications to fruition.” Sanjay Sarathy, VP of Developer Experience, Cloudinary One Community, Two Sites With more program features yet to come, the Cloudinary Community will launch with both a Community Forum and a Community Discord that will serve distinct purposes for the company’s growing user base. Community Forum: The Community Forum fills the gap between problems which can be easily solved by a Google search, and problems that require account or personal data access and can only be handled by company support staff. If a problem is challenging or in-depth, the forum will help bring answers to customer questions into a centralized, searchable location online. The forum will host how-tos, tutorials, and other long-form community content. Community Discord: The Community Discord will act as a community coffee shop, a place to get to know other members of the community and have real-time conversations with smaller groups of community members. Cloudinary has already been doing this with their Media Developer Experts [MDEs] and attendees at their online Cloudinary Academy courses. Now Cloudinary will have all those conversations (and more) in one place. About Cloudinary Cloudinary’s mission is to empower companies to deliver visual experiences that inspire and connect by unleashing the full potential of their media. With 60 billion assets under management and nearly 10,000 customers worldwide, Cloudinary is the industry standard for developers, creators and marketers looking to manage, transform, and deliver images and videos online. As a result, leading brands like Atlassian, Bleacher Report, Bombas, Grubhub, Hinge, NBC, Mediavine, Minted, Peloton and Petco are seeing significant business value in using Cloudinary, including faster time to market, higher user satisfaction and increased engagement and conversions.

Blue Planet Automation Accelerates CSP Adoption of 5G and Multi-Cloud

Blue Planet | September 28, 2022

Blue Planet, a division of Ciena has added new software enhancements to its intelligent automation product portfolio, helping communication service providers (CSPs) accelerate their digital transformation and quickly monetize innovative digital services built on 5G and multi-cloud infrastructure. These enhancements deliver end-to-end observability and control to automate service lifecycle management, improve operational agility and optimize customer experience. The latest software innovations across the Blue Planet intelligent automation portfolio address multiple CSP digital transformation challenges and opportunities: 5G automation: The emergence of 5G standalone, network slicing and multi-access edge computing (MEC) allows CSPs to monetize their network in new ways by delivering innovative slice-based services and offering true digital experiences. Blue Planet is providing new 5G automation capabilities that include: An open, productized 5G network slicing solution that incorporates end-to-end orchestration and observability for zero-touch lifecycle management – automating design, activation, assurance, and modification – of slices, including sub-slice management, across the radio access network (RAN) to the core. Dynamic inventory for visualizing the optimal placement of physical and cloud-native resources as well as the end-to-end 5G service topology to help CSPs plan and deploy their 5G resources quickly and efficiently. Multi-Cloud extensibility: Open cloud-based approaches are critical to increasing scale and agility, as well as enabling elastic connectivity models with cloud providers. New Blue Planet multi-cloud enhancements include: Broad Kubernetes support that enables the intelligent placement and orchestration of cloud-based network functions (CNFs) and applications in distributed multi-cloud environments. As a truly cloud-native platform, Blue Planet can be deployed in any public or private cloud and can be consumed in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. As a key player in the multi-cloud ecosystem, Blue Planet has recently joined Nephio, a new Linux Foundation open-source project seeded by Google and focused on Kubernetes-based intent-driven automation of network functions and the underlying infrastructure that supports them. Low-code usability: Low-code technology helps CSPs improve operational agility by empowering them and their system integration partners to design and build new service types and applications for end customers with minimal IT and vendor support. New Blue Planet low-code enhancements include: A single set of integrated development tools across the Blue Planet portfolio to accelerate the onboarding of new network resources and declarative templating abilities that simplify the modeling and creation of new services. "With the rise of 5G and cloudified services, CSPs’ network and service operations will become even more complicated, making automation a necessity. Blue Planet has been making steady incremental progress to enable CSP automation, with its vendor-agnostic, modular, programmable take on service lifecycle management.
