The labor market is experiencing a shortage and trends including the ‘great resignation’ on the back of the global pandemic have created the perfect talent storm. In fact for 2022, Talent attraction has been identified as the top challenge for staffing firms in Bullhorn’s recent Global Recruitment Insights and Data (GRID) report. Compounding this challenge, the expectations of the modern worker have changed. These digital natives want flexibility, expect to interact on their terms, and look for a high-touch, high-tech experience in everything they do, and their expectations of Staffing Firms have shifted. Over 90% of talent surveyed in the annual GRID survey wished that the process of finding jobs was easier; 93% of freelance workers indicated the experience of working with online platforms is easier; and, over 50% had given up on a job as the process took too long. Guidewire announced that SGI CANADA has subscribed to Guidewire InsuranceSuite and Guidewire Live Predict on Guidewire Cloud to power its core operations.
SGI CANADA will use the cloud-based InsuranceSuite application to house their corporation’s insurance products. As a cloud-based solution, Guidewire provides increased flexibility and configurability to adapt to changing market needs and customer expectations. In addition, Guidewire Live Predict will provide SGI CANADA actuaries build insights into the company’s business, providing SGI CANADA with a competitive advantage in the market.

Google Cloud and Boeing today announced a partnership that will support the leading aerospace company's cloud transformation by migrating hundreds of applications across multiple business groups and aerospace products to Google Cloud. The partnership will enable Boeing to address challenges that come with traditional on-premises IT implementations, taking advantage of the scalability and flexibility of the cloud, along with the ease-of-use and innovation of Google Cloud's data analytics and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) tools.
