Sprint taps IBM for cloud connected cars

Sprint has tapped IBM for an update to the Sprint Velocity infotainment platform that allows drivers to sync car settings with the cloud.Over the past year Sprint has been partnering with a number of service providers for a range of technologies which have enabled the company to realise its vision for a cloud connected vehicle, including Aeris Communications, an M2M platform designer and Airbiquity, which has developed a technology to bridge mobile and vehicle apps.
