Java Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider CloudBees announced Wednesday that the company has acquired FoxWeave, a provider of cloud-based services and data integration.The terms of the deal have not been made public but the acquisition will see the addition of native data migration and synchronisation services offered by FoxWeave, meaning developers will likely have an easier time integrating a variety of hosted services and data sources into applications....

Belgium-based CloudBees has secured $23.5m in a series D funding round led by Matrix Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Verizon Ventures. The firm, which has its roots as a java platform as a service, said it plans to use the funding to accelerate development of its Jenkins-based enterprise offerings.Blue Cloud Ventures, JBoss alumnus Bob Bickel and Marc Fleury, and Ed Bugnion, co-founder of VMware, were among the others that invested in the latest round....
