A greater variety of end devices are moving to the Internet of Things (IoT), which is making it more versatile. One way to address the rising challenges associated with digitization at the service management level is Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) for Remote PC Management.A power supply, an active network, and an Intel® AMT-capable chipset are the only requirements to use Intel® AMT features on end devices. Through a collection of REST-APIs, Intel® EMA makes it possible to manage end devices out of band,even if the operating system is down.
Communication Service Providers (CSP) are looking for new revenue sources to grow their businesses, especially in the enterprise area which will be increasingly important in the future. According to the Ericsson report “5G for business: a 2030 market compass”, by 2030 up to USD 700 billion of the 5G-enabled, business-to-business value could be addressed by CSPs. With the introduction of 5G and edge computing, they are now in a better position to provide new offerings both to enterprises that need to automate industrial processes and to consumers who require improved user experiences for on-line gaming. Edge computing provides distributed computing and storage resources closer to the location where it is needed and targets new business opportunities that provide support for specific application use cases. Some examples of use case areas are augmented and virtual reality, manufacturing and automotive. The innovation rate in this part of the application ecosystem will be significant going forward. The edge opportunity should be seen in a larger context of the enterprise opportunity, where edge computing will be an enabler for many broader use cases, for example within the Internet of Things (IoT) and potentially bundled with other enterprise offerings such as 5G private networks.

The pandemic put strong pressures on organizations to modernize their infrastructure. The sudden rush of remote workers using virtual desktop infrastructure has resulted in surges and strains within current IT infrastructure. Organizations then were faced with a difficult choice: continue operations with slow, and at times insufficient capacity to support its workers, or upgrade their IT infrastructure. Upgrading IT infrastructure provides its own challenges: on-prem upgrades are an expensive endeavor and a considerable effort must be put into provisioning the right amount of hardware. Under-provisioning could potentially result in disruptions to operations and over-provisioning would result in wasted expenses. The other option is migrating to the cloud, which although does allow for elasticity with provisioning, does have challenges in the massive, timeand resource-intensive process of replacing legacy systems with cloud-based SaaS enterprise software.

The request must identify the Service(s), define the dates, times and durations of Unavailability, along with supporting logs or records that corroborate the Unavailability, and identify the affected users and their locations, as well any technical support requested or remediation implemented. Only one service credit will be issued per Service, for the applicable number of months, with a maximum of a single 10% service credit for all months of the extension. Customer must present the voucher upon purchase of the extension. If you purchase the extension through a reseller, you will receive a credit through the reseller. The credit we apply for a direct purchase, or pass to your reseller for an indirect purchase, will be based on the pro-rated, blended suggested retail price of the extension for the same number of units. Citrix does not control resale pricing or resale credits. Credits do not include a right of offset on payments due to Citrix or a reseller. Citrix will occasionally update these terms. When updates occur, Citrix will also revise the publication date at the top of the Service Level Agreement. Any changes apply only to your new Service purchases or Service extensions on or after the current publication date.
